a few things me and a few friend have found to make sure is done before leaving with your travel trailer..
1) awning is in place, and secure !! my buddy had one that got cought in a tree brach while driving !! cost him over $500 !!!
2) Make sure all Stabilizer jacks are UP !! Another person i know forgot to put all 4 of there jacks up, on their popup and broke them forever !!
3) Ceiling vents are closed !! saw one on eBay where they had forgot to shut them and it ruined the roof !!
4) Make sure EVERYTHING is secure inside before moving, (exp, TV) ! this happened to us this past weekend, we forgot to tie down our TV and it fell off the 5'' shelf and broke !
5) Front toung jack is ALL THE WAY up !! This happened to us last year ! the jack was down a little bit and we went up a hump and it bent it !
6) Make sure the water pump is off !! if a water line comes loose while on the road you'll drain your water tank, flood the trailer and burn up your water pump!
7)All closet, bathroom and cabinet doors secure? open doors will swing wildly on the road and bang opposite walls !
8) Make sure waste water hose stowed and door latched
9) Make sure waste dump cover back in place (not dangling)
10) Make sure you Remove all wheel chocks

i will add more if i think of any.. you too add more !!

TV antenna down, gas off, and power cord unplugged from power post and stowed. The water you keep in those tanks is an extra 8# per gallon. So keep very little water in them. etncc/i love camping.png

I have a checklist of all things that need to be done prior to moving my 5th wheel typed up and attached to the inside of the pantry door. I have found this to be very helpful rather than try to remember everything. My wife and I always go down the checklist to verify everything has been done before we move.

...gas off...

I leave the gas turned on since my fridge operates on gas while traveling.
