We drove through a couple of weeks ago and really liked it, and would like to try it out sometime. But we were told by someone that they don't allow campfires. Has anyone camped there and can tell me more? I searched the cg reviews and found one review that it was a nice cg and I think campfires were mentioned, but I'd still like to hear a more definate answer.

Yes, We have camped there many times, you can have a fire but it has to be contained sitting off the ground. We didn't have anything one time and the camp host has like 2 or 3 extra and he let us borrow one. also if you get on the very end row toward the river there is about 5 camprings across the road you can use. That is what we use cause some of them are right at the end of your camper just cross the road.

they called back to tell me that as long as there is a campfire ring at your site you can have it and if you have one at home with a screen over it then you can bring it.

Davy Crockett is our almost home campground, He he he We live less then 10 miles away and can be there in a few mins. We have had campfire there before I don't know of any changes, unless they were made recently.

yep crokett is my home camp ground too, o course me and happy camper is camping buds, crockett is a nice camp ground the kids love it and we can keep a close eye on the kids. you can see almost all of the camp ground and can see where the kids are on their bikes. The host are always very nice and kind, they usually have bluegrass music under the shed on the weekends. I would give crockett a high rating .
