Obviously, we are new to camping. We bought a 99 Prowler BH and are having trouble with the awning. Anybody have any suggestions on making life easier?

Can you explain the problem your having with the awning so we could help you. Congrats on the camper

It almost seems like it is bent. The bars that push up and run parallel with the actual awning are very difficult to get to move up and down.

don't know if this would work with your problem but we had the same problem, of it being hard to pull out, and we loosened the 2 screws that are on the bottom of the 2 rails. and that solved it. if you think that may work i can take a picture .

A picture would be great. Thanks for all the help. We have only camped at Warriors so far. We have two daughters ages 14 and 10. We want to go somewhere further away for labor day weekend. Any suggestion?

sometimes the wind will bend your arms and this makes them hard to slide up and down.
If you go to roll it up and the main tube across is bent due to water standing on it then it will flop up and be loose when you get it in place.
Hope this helps
