when we visit my mom we are staying in her outback. It will be like a hotel comared to the popup. I will post pics when we get back from the vacation later this month

We looked at an Outback at our local dealer. They are really nice! We also looked at a Cougar. Both are Keystones, I think. After doing some pricing, we decided that the Dutchmen that we almost have paid for looked pretty good after all! We're keeping it!

I think Jeff was spolied by the TT but we will stick to the popup for now.. Need a bigger truck to pull something bigger too.

Camping this month? We've camped every weekend in June. Twice in the Pop_up and last weekend in the TT we just bought. I really wanted to take a 100 mile trip to try it out before heading to the beech Friday with it. we ended up in the same trap. We realized we needed to upgrade for more space and conveniences, but didn't really have a SUV that could handle the weight and size of most TT's. We bought a 98 Dodge Durango and a 27' TT the same week. problem solved and I only spent $14K on everything including a new weight distribution hitch and sway control. Most people spend twice that on just the truck alone so I'm tickled to death!

Boy if you ever see another good deal on a TV like that then tell me. Then we could upgrade.

we have camped out ever other weekend since we got back. all at claboughs, this weekend we will be there also.. Come and check it out. we will be at site 141 in the "D" Section right next to the bathouse.. funny seeing a popup in a pull through site but oh well

We did trade in the Pop-up (which we only gave $1000 for last fall) on the TT and traded a Geo tracker on the Durango, but $14K is all the cash I put out for the whole set-up. It's a little nerve racking setting out with EVERYTHING new (to me) but I'm happy. We've only had the truck and camper a weeek, but I'm fairly confident that we wont have any problems with it after our short "test trip" this past weekend. Charleston here we come!! Leaving Friday at 1:00 headed south.
