If you have never been to this park and you have kids{any age} and if you Love nature, exploring hiking trails that leads to the most beautiful water falls I have ever seen you will love Fall Crk Falls. Our favorite spot is the Cascades behind the Nature Center. You can cross a swinging bridge that over looks the Cascades where people are swimming. At the the falls you can get behind them and slide thru or sit and let them fall on your back. It feels wonderful. This is a great place to swim for all ages. Then my boys like the George Hole. The kids jump from a swinging bridge and climb up the side of the Mt. and jump in. Bid grassy area hill kinda like where you put in to tube and swim in Townsend Tenn. Then if you want to explore some go to the bottom of Fall Crk Falls. Oh my! this is a beautiful hike its not a very hard hike to the bottom. You can also swim here so wear your water shoes. The hike down reminds me of what the rain forest might look like.Breath takeing. There are several swinging bridges in the park on the nature trails. 400 ac. lake with pattle baots, canoes, john boats, and a pontoon boat ride. At the lodge there is a seafood buffet on fri. primrib on sat,the other nights are country style foof. At the swimming pool there is a snack bar with short order food and ice cream. The pool is very large with 2 diving boards. and a baby pool. One thing we do almost every night is softball. you meet at the ball field divide into teams, Bring your glove. 6:30 the little one s play,7:30 the teens and adults play. This is a good way to meet the other campres. we have been going for the past 5 summers and we see the same people every year. We meet new ones passing thru also. My son met a girl at the gift shop 5 years ago and would hang out togther for the 2 weeks we are there. well thisa summer we had a wedding the same week we always go so our camping friends could be at the wedding. There are activities planned for all day everyday. Posted at the bathhouses. The park just recieved a 1 1/2 million dallor grant for the park. They are going to add more full hook-up sites and rebuild some of the bathhouses. They have a great golf course that our guys hit a few times. You have to watch out for the deer and turkey. Our favorite spot is in A loop. This should be a place to add to your camping adventures.

Thanks For the review. I think we may go there next year on a holiday weekend cause it would be about 3-3 1/2 hrs to get there.

Oh, yeah! Fall Creek is our favorite local cg. It is about 1 hour from us, and we go there often. Really great cg, with lots of bike trails, and the falls are beautiful. Definitely our favorite weekend camping trip.

We love FCF! I love to go during the Fall to see the leaves. You know, that's where they filmed that Disney movie with the man jumping off into the deep water falls.
It's beautiful there. I recommend going! And they even take rsvps, so go online and pick out a good site before heading down.

In case there are any Caver's watching, FCF is only a couple miles from one of the more impressive natural caves in this part of the Cumberland. Camps Gulf Cave has 4 large (auditorium sized) chambers, a hydraulic tunnel, and a small lake. If you aren't an experienced Caver however, hire a guide before you go in there. It's big enough to get seriously lost in.

Had a great time at Fall Creek Falls this past weekend. Of the 226 sites , 102 are closed for all of the upgrades. We were in site 82. It dried up really well after the rain. The park should be really nice after the campground is finished. Until then it will be hard to get in . Has anyone ever taken the cable trail and hiked down below the Caney Creek Falls. This is as close as you will come to fishing with God. The feeling is unreal. If you go to Fall Creek Falls , don't forget the bicycles.

The Falls behind the Nature Center,Cascades. This is where most people swim during the summer. To sit under the Falls is awsome. Also Hike down to FCF it is like being in the Rain Forest.Climb up the rocks where the water is falling and look up.It looks like the water is falling in slow motion. It is one of our favorite places.

I have a coworker that loves FCF. He takes his family every year. I think it's the only place they camp. I stayed in one of their camp areas with the bunkhouses back in 1998 as part of a Water Resourses Class I took at UT. We stayed out there for 2 weeks and had a great time when we weren't in class.

RE: Cavers - Down the road (near Rock Island SP - great park for camping/fishing, too AND they take reservations) is Bone Cave. It is one of the largest open caverns used by native americans and during the civil war it was used to make ammunition. Neat place.
Happy Camping!
