We have stayed at Jellystone, Cosby, TN. LOVE IT. The owners are very helpful from the time you pull in until you leave. They help you back into your site and make sure everything goes smooth. Lots of activities planned for the kids through out the day. Great creek for kids to play in too. Bath houses are very clean. The hayrides with Yogi bear are fun! Will definitely stay here again!

Can't wait to get back to camping at Cove Lake! It is just 45 minutes from home but feels like it is world's away.
Blessings and Grace, Don

We just spent 4 nights at Observation Knob campground east of Bristol in Sullivan County. Great playground for the kids, nice lake access for me. I had notrouble getting in even on the busy holiday weekend. They take reservations. It is run by the county. the URL is www.sullivancountytourism.org/obknob.htm. $20 a night with hookups
My current favorite, though, is still Warrior's Path State Park in Kingsport, TN. Best playground for the kids and great facilities. The URL is www.stateparks.com/warriors_path.html. Great pool, great hiking, great mountain biking (reportedly, haha), great lake access, nice free game room, outstanding playground, golf course, and popular flying disk golf course. And it's only a half hour from home. What's not to like.

Thanks for your post on Observation Knob. Have alot of the sites been filled with permanents yet? They evicted everyone, but then decided to allow permanents back. How were the bathhouses? We drove thru before the evictions took place. Was any area better than the others? I would like a shady area with lake view if possible. Guess I should drive through again as I am very interested, but will have to wait until we get back from Myrtle. We live about 15 minutes from Observation Knob and boat there. Would be nice to boat and camp at the same time . Plus, with the gas as high as it is, would be nice to camp close.
Oh, how was the lake? I think it is still about 10 feet down?
Thanks!
