We are tenatively planning a quick trip to Myrtle Beach in September.
I think we are going to stay at Lakewood.
Does anyone have a favorite seafood restaurant that they are willing to recommend?
We haven't been to the beach in many years and was wondering who had the best.
Tks!

It's worth making the drive up to Calabash, NC to eat at one of the restaurants there. The food is much better, and it's a little cheaper as well.

There are several seafood restaurants if you come out of Lakewood and go to the left and head towards Murrels Inlet. I can't think of any of the names right off hand. We'll be in Myrtle Beach in Sept. but not camping, let us know what dates you'll be there and maybe we can stop by if we're there at the same time. We were at Lakewood in June, and we really like it.

We just returned from Myrtle Beach and wanted to put in our on good places to eat.
My brother & SIL went to Drunken Jack's in Murrell's Inlet. They said that it was very good and would recommend it.
My husband and I ended up going to Sara J's in Garden City. It also was very good. The shrimp was the freshest that I have eaten in a very long time and the flounder was excellent. While it was a little pricy, it was well worth it for a special night out.
Extra tip: Go EARLY or plan to wait!
