Well, we finally got the daughter out for Spring break and got to go camping at Harrison Bay State Park down towards Chattanooga Tn.
The wife and daughter really loves the new camper and I will try to get pics on here next week. I had to come back to work tonight and finish out my midnites.
We only had to use a little ceramic heater for most of the nights but Monday it snowed and the furnace kicked on a couple of times. Other than that we done good.
Fished a couple of days but the wind was relentless and never really got into the fish real good.

Left coming home early Friday and got home. The daughter went over to play at the neighbors house while we were unloading the truck and all and I heard her scream. I looked and figured she had fell cause they was playing tag. But she came running home and I find out she has been dog bit. One of the other kids had opened the door and the dogs ran out of the house and bit her on the calf of the leg.
Needless to say we dropped what we were doing and rushed her to the Emergency room and after about three hours we find out she is ok. It had just clamped down on her leg and the teeth only scratched her good. The neighbors have the dogs inside and assured us that all shots and stuff was up to date.
The leg has a couple of good bruises and a scratch but other than that she is ok. Maybe the next trip will be an exciting adventure but not that much excitement!

Hope everyone has had a good week and doing well. Take care and remember that accidents can and will happen. Just be ready for it when you least expect it.
We also met some really nice folks this week and got to share this place with them. Hopefully they will be able to get on here and share some of their experiences with us.

Britt, I am really sorry to hear about your daughter. I am glad that it was not worse. That sure is the wrong kind of excitment. I know it was hard to see your little precious girl hurt.
I am really glad that everything else went well and you got some good time in the camper. Sounds like a wonderful time with the new camper.
I am really getting itchy to get out there in the woods again camping. I hope we can go soon.
Just a side note. I got another stand-alone light to add to the camper. It is a surface mount light fixture and has 18 LEDs. I am going to install it beside the other light fixture and wire it into the fixture. I got it based on a recommendation of some people in another forum that I participate in. I will tell you more about it if you want more info.

Hi,
Yeah I am interested in the new lights. Always looking to see whats going on. lol.

Hope is doing better today. I looked at her leg before I came to work tonight and she is healing up good. She says she still wants to be a vet when she grows up so this has not stopped her desire to still be with animals. biggrin.gif

Here is a link to a few pics of this trip. They really had a lot of fun out in the woods. I was so afraid that the park ranger was gonna give me a ticket for them doing all this junk, but he was really in to it himself. He told me to leave the kids alone. that was the first time anyone had played in them woods for years and at least they wasn't melting away in front of a video game or something. He actually pulled his truck up on the road on the other side and watched them work for awhile.
The pics added in order but showed up backwards when I got them on there. I have a couple of pics on page 2 of them showing the new camper in the yard. Have to look over the brush pile in front of it. That was the day after we got a storm and the limbs were the ones from a fallen tree.

Hope this works.

Britt, that is a real nice looking rig you have. I am sure you will get lots of enjoyment out of it. You will be making memories together that you, your wife and your daughter will remember for a lifetime. That really is priceless. My kids (all grown now with kids of their own) bring up fun things that happened when we were on camping trips. One of the places they mention are the times that we had at Elkmont campground in the Smokies.
The LED I got was one that a couple of people have installed and posted about in another forum on RV.Net. It is a surface mount fixture with its own switch. It is made for boats. The good thing is you can use it only when you are boondocking if you want. That way, it would be protected from higher voltage when plugged in shore power. I have not installed it yet. I am going to put it beside the light that is there now. The one I got has 18 LEDs and was about $25. I got it at Bass Pro shop in the boating light department. It is made by Seasense and appears to be good quality.
Thanks for posting the link to your photos. I enjoyed seeing them.
