You take ground meat, your preference (beef, turkey, venison, ect.) make patties out of it, take carrots (we use the baby ones), potatoes, onion, and chop or slice them and mix into a bowl (or you can separate them in the package). Take aluminum foil, 2 square sheets, or double it over to make a double layer, put no more than 2 patties in the center, then cover the patties with the carrots, potatoes, and onion. Put a couple pats of butter on them, sprinkle about an ounce of water on them, and season to you liking, we use salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Wrap the whole thing up and cook over hot coals (not flame) for about an hour, turn about every 10-15 minutes. When done each packet is a meal for one person, just take the packet and set on a plate or a wicker paper plate holder and open foil into a plate/bowl and eat right out of the container! Very few dishes to wash and clean up is easy and you've had a hot, good for you meal, all while enjoying what we're all here for, CAMPING!
P.S. you may have to cook longer or shorter depending on the size of your patties, just have to experiment. And also when we go to eat our delicious dinner, we use the usual ketchup, mustard, tobasco, ect. We have also used chicken but you have to be really careful with poultry, best to get used to the red meats first, and try your favorite veggie or any combo you might like. Can't beat the clean up time and less time to dessert, MMMMM Smore's!
