the front window had wiggled in a leak.. now the wall in front under the window in about a 10x10 area is soft.. is this worth to fix ?? or just leave it ?? we fixed the leak we think.. we caulked the window

I don't know how soft the wood is but I know co-op sells a product that will chemically react with the soft wood to harden it.
