We love our new camper, a 2007 Starcraft 2409, but it has a tiny wimpy step which either my three year old twins or I will bust our behind on one day. Is there a way to replace the step with a larger one, more like the ones we saw on the Fleetwoods??? I've looked on both of their websites and don't see a replacement step.

What do you recommend???

We have looked for a way to put a step on our camper. When ours was new a step was an option. I have opted to use one of the steps used for stepping videos. It seems to work its light and easy, but would love to come up with something to hook to the frame.

we got a support stand thing, that extends, up and down that goes under the step to keep it from bending. we dont use it anymore, but it seemed to do good.

I cut a piece of 2x4 the width of the step and bored a hole in the center the size of the top of my hydrolic jack. When I get everything level and set up I set the jack under the step and raise it to where it just firmly fits. When going in or out of the camper it is as solid as stepping on a concrete step and there is no wiggle to the camper.
