The company I worked for the past 7 years closed very unexpectantly last Wednesday. I was told at 2pm on Wed I would no longer have a job and I had to go back at 9:30 that night and fire 12 of my very good friends. A lot of girls had been with me for 3-4 years. We closed our doors that night to never re-open. As you can imagine our customers are very mad too, as many people had packages they had just bought. It has been very overwhelming. The owner is allowing me to get a fraction of my hours in Kingsport and Bristol stores.
Although when I work the calls are overwhelming with customers yelling, cussing, etc. They think as the manager I knew we were closing, and I had no idea. The owner is saying she will re-open somewhere else in JC, but will the customers come back...this is our busy season now? Please pray for strength for me, and to make a decision as to whether or not to stay. It is hard because I have always made my own schedule and work days when my boys are in school and nights during the summer. That kind of schedule is hard to find, plus having a job I loved going to everyday.
