We are planning a camping trip in the spring to Washington DC with my brother's family.

Does anyone have any recommendations regarding campgrounds in the general vicinity?

We are open (and probably prefer) staying a little west or south of the DC area.

We will be meeting our other brother there as his family will be traveling from the Rocky Mount NC area.

There will be a 17 year old, a 8 year old, a 6 year old, a 7 month old and 6 adults in 2 fifth wheel campers. Sound like fun????

Please advise your suggestions.

There is one in Reston Va, LAKE FAIRFAX PARK RESTON VA Pub Crps That isn't too far out of DC. Never been there but sounds nice.
Also there is Candy Hill over in Winchester, about an hours drive from Washington.
