I am looking for a small camper that is a basket case. I want one that has major wood structurial damage. I am looking for a scotty sportsman,gaucho, shasta brand or other brands. I want one that has so much wood damage it is not cost effective to even repair for most. My intentions are to rebuild one from the frame up. repaint the steel trailer frame,completely replace all the wood and then put the skin back on. If you know of someone that has one in the way, they started to rebuild and its too much wrong with it keep me in mind. If someone has taken it apart and gave up I would be interested. If its one that someone has thats a family heirloom that they cant fix but they don't want it scrapped let me know. Depending on the cost and size I would be interested in most of the Tennessee area. I am in no hurry for one. I go stir crazy in the winter without a project I am looking for one. The only condition I would not be interested in is one that has the outside aluminum stripped and gone. But if you have the other parts I may be interested in them. Send me an email with something to the effect of camper as the subject to my email of wrtyoung@hotmail.com . Remember any condition. even if I have to take it apart on site due to its condition I would be interested.

Fisherpal thats similar to the type I am looking for. That one on ebay is made by a company called Yodder Todder and it uses all new components. . I think they are selling to other distubtors now. Its a guy that is in Ohio that hires some Amish workers to build them.I talked to that guy by email before he started building them to sale. He bought a original scotty and took it apart. He used it to get the pattern for his new ones. He has the rights from the Serro family to build them. I have seen the TAB trailers and I think I would prefer the new scottys. Thanks Dice for posting, I looked earlier and could not get to the page. I am looking for a scotty. I am in no hurry. This is going to be a project that I will take my time to get it as perfect as I can. So I am looking for "the one" that I want to redo. I am going to completely replace every piece of wood. I want one to go farther than I can now with my truck. Hopefully I will get to go to some of your camping rallys.

Hi Willy , There is an old Shasta or something just down the road from me , and a few months ago they had a for sale sign in it........ not sure how much, It's rough, but seems to be all there . the camper is only 3 or 4 miles off 11E between Greeneville and Johnson City Tn. let me know if your interested and I could check on a price...

I got one located like I wanted that my plans are to redo and use. Its a scotty like I have always wanted. I wouldn't mind getting a shasta to fixup and trade around on. But it will probably be later on. Thanks again. I will post pictures when I get the scotty. I get the scotty fixed you will see me at some camping trips. You will probably get tired of me. The better half I think wants it redone this winter so guess what I am going to be up to. .
