Does anyone have any ideas on Bike racks for popups? There's not much to the back bumper. I'm busting at the seams wanting to weld up a bike rack. any ideas appreciated.
you need to tie the back wheels down to prevent side to side movement. He looped a rope around each tire a couple times, and tie the ends to 2 eye-hooks on the sides of the roof. If you look closely, you can see the ropes in the last picture. Here is a site to get the quick releases that you would need: http://www.performancebike.com/shop/profil...ategory_ID=5311

I have seen them on top of the camper but I dont feel comfortable drilling into the top. Knowing my luck I would hit a wire

My luck is about the same. If there was 1 wire there i would find it. I think i've figured out the hitch and rack for the rear part of the camper. I'll post some pictures later.

I know everyone gets tired of me talking about the Bike rack for the popup. Well I got it finished and mounted . I think it turned out great. It should hold 3 bikes easily. Have pictures if anyone is interested. The bracket that attaches to the frame and the bumper could easily be adapted to other popups. Can't wait to try it out next week at Fall Creek Falls.

This is going to be a project I will be undertaking this year. My son got a "chopper" style bicycle for his birthday & it has very long front forks. My daughter is on a 24 inch bike this year. My little boy wants to bring along both bikes(because you can't offroad or pop wheelies with "chopper") so this year we are going to be hauling 5 bikes. We are going to be crowded hauling them in a minivan, so I need all the suggestions I can get.
Ken, I had a receiver welded onto the rear bumper, and had it reinforced, your more than welcome to take a look at it but need to do it by saturday. i traded her in on a travel trailer. im in maryville. i can Pm my phone # if you like.
