We need to get an outdoor carpet/rug to take with us on camping trips. What is a good size? Anybody have any tips for a cheaper alternative than buying one at a camping store? Any ideas are appreciated!!

go to home depot. they have some nice rugs right up front for 15 something... that is where we are getting ours from when we get home. I want to get one of the more expensive ones but no one around sells the 6x9 one.

I don't know about now, but when I got my rug I purchased it at the Dollar Store at that time for $10.00. It was a 6X9 polyprophlene rug and I have used it for two years. I bought three of them and carpeted the inside of my popup, the portipottie stand and wrapped the outside step. I roll it up and put it in the front storage compartment for transport. It drains real well and when I come in from a camping trip I lay mine out in the yard and hose it down clean it and hang it over the deck rail to drip dry. Don' t know for sure if they still have them or not but I got mine at the Dollar Store in Weber City. You can see picture of carpet in the mods on my web page.

i think they have them on eBay for cheap !!

saw some mats at Kroger for $9.95 i think they were cheap one though. but they would get the point across.
