PETS AND CAMPING

Just curious? How many out there have dogs that they take camping with them? We have two small dogs. Murray is 3yrs old and was rescued from the pound and Junior is a Yorkie who is a little over a year. We love dogs and they are like our children now.

Looking at a campground in North Carolina called 4 PAWS Kingdom that is dedicated to dogs and their owners. Has anyone been there? etncc/anyone.gif

We take our rat terrier with us on camping trips. She is not much trouble. She is over 10 now. I enjoy getting out and walking in the park so I would take her walking. Being as old as she is she didn't like going as much as I did,she would even hide somewhere in the camper to keep from going. So I made her a cart to pull her that looks like a doghouse. She loves to go out when I go out walking. I get stopped constantly. I even had a couple of kids that would follow me around on the edge of their campsite. We have two black and white cocker spaniels we take camping with us. Chester is two years old. He was abused and was given to me. Patch is one year old. He was a gift to me as a puppy. They are wonderful. They love to go camping. I haven't heard of that campground, but I will keep it in mind. Our dogs are part of our family and they go with us most of the time except to work. We have never had any trouble with our dogs camping. Everyone seems to love them.

We take Rosie (see my signature) everywhere we go. We heard about 4 Paws last year, and have been wanting to go ever since. From what I understand, it's a wonderful campground.
