Well, I finally got around and ordered a set of these things. They look like they will work nicely and was wondering if anyone uses them much. We got the high wind model for our camper and we are going to get to try them out next week if nothing happens.
Is there any pointers or tips to installing them that anyone would share? I won't get to try them till we drive to the campground and set up so any tips would be appreciated.. Thanks! etncc/i love camping.png

Fisherpal, you will be glad that you bought them. They really make a difference in the inside temp this time of the year. Some people hook them up under the edge of the roof as they are raising it. I have a three step ladder and I put mine on after the top is raised and the bunkends pulled out. I evenly space it under the edge of the roof on the bunkend covers and spread it out then put my shepherd pole in. I then stretch it evenly and clip it on each side and hook my bungi cord under the bunkend. If you look at the testimonial and the picture on POPUPGIZMO webpage. That is my camper with the cover installed. If you enlarge the picture you will see that I have the bungi cords crossed. I am sure you will enjoy the difference and wonder why you haven't had them before now.

You will be amazed at the difference they will make. Your popup will be a lot cooler. I did not buy the gizmo's , I made my covers out of reflective we bought at Lowes. We had it set up in our yard and with the AC on it was still HOT. I installed the covers and it was 20 degrees cooler in just a few minutes. We camped last year in 95 degree temps and our popup stayed very cool. We have moved on to a TT but I would not ever think of owning a popup without reflective or the gizmo covers.

Dirtfisher, I saw your camper on the web site. It looks good. I had read some reports on here last year about them but wasn't able to afford a set untill this year.
What are you hooking the bungee cords to? Is it the clip for the support posts under the bunks?
I laid them out in the sun for just a few minutes and it cooled the area underneath pretty quick. I looked at the instructions and it shows to hook before you raise it all the way up but with a ladder it makes sense the way you do it better. Thanks! etncc/character0053.gif

I hook it either to the clips or the bunkend bungi cord, just what ever I get to first. I tried putting it on before the top was out of reach but I usually had to get the ladder to adjust it to fit. I just take my time and set up leisurely so it doesn't bother me to get the ladder out and put the gizmos on. I've got my on system of setting up and taking down, that way I know what is done and where everything is. Happy Camping.......................... biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

We have a set of them for our hybrid and love them. Makes a big big difference. I took at nap on the sunny side of the camper in the heat of the day and did not get hot. Great and well worth the money.

I bought the high wind models for my Niagara. Wish i bought the coooler cover when I ordered them. I can't believe the difference they make.
