As I had posted earlier. My wife is ready to move up to a travel trailer. What I need to know is....
How much clearance is there on say like a 26 or 27 footer? (Behind the rear wheels)
How steep of a drive way can I take it in with out dragging it?
Do the little steel wheels that you put on the back bumper really safely support the weight of the trailer when it drags on the ground?

What is the best type of stabilzer hitch to get?

The reason I am asking is the drive way is fairly steep and I am afraid even with the wheels attached (that the dealer mentioned) the trailer will drag on our drive way. Any help appreciated.

I have seen people pull those things with the wheels on the back about anywhere you could imagine without trouble.

somehow we broke the little triangle thing on the rear of one of our TTs so i dont know how strong they are.

Depends on the floor plan of your trailer as to distance from rear wheel. The weight of the ref and all if the ref is in the back the wheels will be aback a little more to get the right balance.

We install dolly wheels on the rear for the drive ways and the units that have the low clearance. Works well.

If you go to a unit with a super slide out then you will have more clearance than ones without slide outs.

Balance is the key of wheel placements.
