I have a 03 Flagstaff. The last couple of times I have cranked up the pup, when you get the roof real close to the top, the crank gets real hard to turn. It used to go up with no problems, so easy in fact that I pulled the screw out of the cord that tells you when you have the roof up high enough (in other words I cranked it up too high). All corners are square, it goes up as high as it's suppose to. Anyone ever have this problem or have any suggestions as why it is doing this? etncc/dontknow.gif etncc/anyone.gif

Just be careful Dice. If you pulled the cable out I would watch the cable really closly. Repalcing the cable might be a good idea before the lift system ails you. You do use the braces on opposite sides right?? I do on my camper, that way it won't fall down on my head. When in doubt don't over crank it. Call a&l rv sales in Johnson city since that is the Flagstaff dealer. We had a 2003 flagstaff also

Yes, I definitely use the braces. I got mine from A & L also, I was thinking about going and talking to them, I really don't want to take it in right now to have it looked at, who know's when I would get it back. It still cranks up just fine until I get about 5 turns or so from the top, then it's real hard.
