Hello everyone! I was just wondering if any of you have a good recipe for making homemade salsa? My wife has tried a couple of times and she does really good but she still wants to know what she is doing wrong. For some reason it don't turn out just like she likes it. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

Do you want fresh salsa or canned salsa? I make both. Fresh salsa is best and easy. In one recipe you cut up fresh tomatoes (you can use canned, diced tomatoes if you have to), chopped onions ( I use yellow onions), lime juice (just squeeze a lime in), cilantro (chop up the cilantro. I don't use all of the stems, mostly the leaves), cumin, salt and pepper to taste (I use a lot of cumin). You can add chile powder if you want to, but I don't. The cilantro and cumin make it.
In the other recipe I use a 2 cans of shoepeg corn (drained), 2 cans of black beans (drained and washed), a can of diced tomatoes or chopped fresh tomatoes (you may want to use more, but I use one can), cilantro chopped, chopped onion, lime juice, chile powder, cumin, salt and pepper. This is our favorite.
I hope you enjoy these. I have a recipe to can salsa. If you want that I will have to hunt the recipe.

Either one will do. She has tried to make both kinds and hasn't had any luck at it. Thanks for the info. I will print this off and try it. Thanks!

I also add vinegar,sugar,fresh garlic.
We like ours smooth so when I open a jar I put it in the blender and puree.
Also when I have to buy a jar I add a can of diced tomatos and alittle fresh clantro and put in the blender.
