I've been meaning to post some of my mods for a while. Here we go:

1. I added lights to the rear bumper of the trailer, wired off of the battery and through a switch located inside. These are helpful when backing up in the dark. Even though I have a 7-pin connector, I decided not to wire these with the reverse lights on the truck (although I could pretty easily). Here's a pic:

2. I installed a radio/CD player and speakers. I used a Blaupunkt unit because it had A/V inputs so I could listen to the TV through the system.

3. I got tired of having to set the TV up every time we got to our destination, so I decided to try those adhesive-backed TV mounts. Since this picture was taken, I've added an angle bracket in front of the TV to provide some additional bracing. You can also see one of the new speakers and the cable that runs from the TV to the CD player.

4. I got my inspiration for this from another camper. It's a lightpost/signholder you place at your campsite. I already had most of the materials to make the post, so this was very inexpensive. It's a little hard to see against the dark background of the picture, but here it is:

5. I don't have a picture, but I've added a 30-amp plug on my carport so I can run the A/C in the camper while I'm at home.

wow good job.. especially like the back up lights.. the 2 times we have arrived at night we have been fortunate, and had nice neighbors, they came over with flash lights.. what are those ?? look like the fog lights from auto zone or walmart ??

Yup, they're fog lamps from Wally World. I think I paid about $20 for the pair. Fortunately, we haven't arrived at a campground in the dark since I installed them, but when I've tried them out at the house they light up the backyard!

yea we bought some to put on our old truck, before we traded, but we traded trucks before we got to install them. thats a good idea.. we may have to put them on the camper ! thanks for the idea

Really good mods. I really like the lamp post, might be something that is added to the hubby list for the winter time indoors. HEHE....
