I just wanted to say thanks for making me feel like one of the group. Even though I don't live in the east part of Tennesee I plan to go there often. I live more towards middle TN. Anyway Stacy invited me here from a post I made asking about camping groups. I lived a couple of miles from Rock Island SP growning up. I got away from campgrounds when I got married. I got back into camping 1 1/2 years ago when I got my old truck rebuilt and wanted a new project. We also got into camping just to get away from time to time. My wife and I have taken care of her parents that live next door for a few years now so that makes long distance trips almost impossible. Her dad died a few weeks ago but her mom is in good shape still. So we should be able to go a few more times this year than last. Our first camper was a larger one and I have always wanted a scotty. One of the members here fisherpal, had one that I was able to get. I belonged to another group here in TN but just didn't feel like I belonged. One of the trips I went was to one of their rallys. I invited the group to see my restored camper and truck but no one came by. I asked around the park if anyone belonged to that group and I only found one person who said they did. It made me feel that since I had a "older" camper I was beneath them. I have not had those feelings here. I feel like I could park between someones popup and a big 5th wheeler from here and be treated like family. For that I say thank you to everyone.
