We are thinking about going to Topsail State Park - Santa Rosa Beach, FL sometime this year.

Has anyone been there that can provide any info ?
What is the best time of year to go ?

The below link shows every site in the the park. From everything I have read this place is fantastic. We are thinking maybe a May trip or wait til September/October.

Topsail is fantastic. We love it. Personally, I love mid to late October. Depending on when in May you go, you could experience a lot of insect activity, high humidity, and/or intense heat. By Oct. things are starting to settle out. The weather is more pleasant with highs in the low 80's and humidity around 35-40%, all in all very pleasant. Just my opinion, from someone who lived there for 10 years

I was thinking a spring or fall trip would be the best because of the heat and insects.
I checked Reserve America, there are a few sites available in May and plenty of sites for October.
I think we will go in October.
From what I have read, the loop with sites 101-168 appear to be the most popular sites. Is that the area you would recommend?

Oh, now you're talking. We love Topsail. We go to the panhandle once a year. Usually in September/October. Great time of year to go. The kids are back in school, and you can just walk into any restaurant. Topsail has a beautiful beach, great cg. We also like Henderson Beach. We literally toss a coin to decide which we'll go to. At Topsail, we like sites 127 or 144. At Henderson, site 52 is our pick. I have some pics of both at My photos. Go and enjoy, and make reservations soon. They go fast.

I don't think there are any bad sights at Topsal. We do prefer # 21 or 74 though, because they are fairly private and on the lake
