We have a 2006 (just off warranty) Travelstar 19ck, The cabinet finish seems to be being lifted off of the cabinets under the sink and by the oven. We did at one time have a strong odor and a burning of the eyes during the heat of the summer. I thought it could Formaldehyde reaction...not sure. I looks like a chemical reaction took place in the camper but not sure what. The odor is gone and haven't noticed anymore progress on the finish. I have pictures at

HERE!!!

Thanks for any insight on this issue.

Wow. Look like some sort of a chemical reaction with your glue. What did you have stored in that cabinet. I hope Rick will be able to jump in and give more insight. Be patient though he might be busy selling those Rv's

etncc/2cents.gif Did you have a drain problem at one time? It looks like you have used a strong drain cleaner and it ran over the container to catch it and seeped into the joints. I don't think it is any Formaldehyde reaction but just you or someone has spilled a caustic chemical. What did you have in the container that was under the drain line in picture 10-10? That looks like where the problem came started.

No cleaners were spilled, (that I know off), There was a frying pan there where the round area is by the drain, Thats how we found it, DW was cooking dinner and removed the frying pan and she called me in to see it, Its a little sticky, Probably will scrapped it all off and refinish it. There goes the trade in value....While I have you all interested...The dog chewed a hole in our couch, any ideas on fixing it? That was a very dark morning....mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif

I appreciate the help, although had written it off since the camper is off warranty. Its a nice camper but will have to go to a local dealer I hope for tent replacement. The front tent sags and is starting to unravel in the corners. Not a big problem but will lead to one in the future.

StarVol, you know the bungee thingy bobs on the front and back bunks are those replaceable by meor should a dealer do it.

The Tent has a 7 Year Warranty on it. You can replace the bungee or take it to a dealership. I will be in contact with Starcraft today for you and find out what we can do about your cabinet.
