I work on computers for a living and happened across a article on a steampunk computer while reading a article on computers. Steampunk is taking something current and remodeling it to look like it was around in the Victorian era. If you saw the movie Wild, wild, west with Will Smith or the League of extraodinary Gentlemen you get the idea of what it is about. Well anyway this guy took a used school bus and decked it out to that fashion. Even though its not vintage I thought it was interesting . So I thought I would post it . You can see it at http://www.vonslatt.com/bus-main.shtml

Loved the camper and the idea of recycling the school bus to a camper. It is really nice, but a little large for two people. A small bus would make a great camper for us. I wonder what the gas mileage would be though.

Nicely done. I've always wanted to convert an old bus to an RV.

Pretty neat willy. I have a couple of friends that have busses for campers. One is a 52 passenger bus and the other uses a 35 passenger bus. Both worked out pretty neat. One even hooked up for water and electrical for camp ground use. He bought the converter and other plumbing things at a rv salvage place..

Its amazing what you can do with a old bus. I remember when I was a kid close to Memphis burried in the ground. I think it was put there either for a storm shelter or a bomb shelter. There use to be one on a road close to Rock Island SP that a person converted to a house. If I remember correctly it may have even had a second one tied to it. over 20 years ago the road behind Rock Island SP where the falls was had a bad road then. It had some ruts in it that looked 2 ft deep. It was so bad I only went down there once with my 66 Ford truck . That time I saw a school bus camper and thought how in the world did they get that there? I have thought about putting one behind my workshop so it can't be seen and use it to store lumber.
