just wondering when everyone's first trip is planned ? were hoping to go in march.

Our first "booked" trip is not until May 31st. Spending 7 nights at Ocean Lakes.

However, we pick up our new camper @ 10am today and DH is chomping at the bit to take her on her maiden voyage. So, as soon as the neurosurgeon clears it, we will be taking a "quick trip" somewhere. Hopefully that will be in March because I cannot wait to camp!

KOA has their free camping weekend (pay for Friday and get Saturday free)
May 9th and 10th. However, they are VERY expensive. For 2 nights at Little River KOA, in a site that overlooks the river with a deck... it would be $87.56.
Thats not too bad I guess for 2 nights. However, if you consider thats paying for just 1 night.. wow. After staying at Fort Wilderness, I find it hard to pay more for a site around here than we paid at Disney...

I think we are going to use some of the less expensive campgrounds this year...

Went in January, have another one planned Valentines weekend if camper gets out of shop in time, , but that is another story.

I am hoping the scotty will be done and ready to go in March sometime. I have most of the trim done. I only have to run some of the wiring,paint the inside, run the last plumbing,put down the flooring,run the gas line and I am done. The one thing that is really holding me off is the weather. Otherwise I could be done in a week or so. When it is done I plan to go out one weekend to give it a try. I probably will go within a hour of home.

We are keeping a check on the weather. When we get a good forecast we will go. The weather is supposed to be great this weekend, but we already had plans. Shucks! Maybe in February.

We went out December 29- January 2 to River Plantation for a New Years Campout... Had Great Time with Family, Friends , and New Customers.

Hoping to go in March. I have to wait for the daughter to get out a couple of days of school. Then maybe in April for a weekend.

Not till end of March, Easter Weekend, Vogel State Park Georgia. By the way, if the weather stays nice and chilly, hubby says before then....

Actually it's difficult to go right now since our youngets has B-ball games every Saturday. Maybe when the B-ball season is over.
