This hopefully should be a easy answer. I am finishing up my scottys wiring. I can't remember off hand how the male plug is wired in that goes to the campground 30 amp recepticle. Thats the bigger one that has two pins at a angle and the ground is below those. It's the connector that fits in the box at the link

Anyway this should be easy enough but at campgrounds is the 30 amp plug 220 or 110 volts like the smaller 15 amp plug? I was thinking 220 at first but the more I look at my other camper I think it is 120 volts . I pretty much know how to wire either 220 or 110 but I need to know what is the voltage at the electrical hookup boxes at the campground. I have some 220 volt woodworking tools so I think I am getting the wiring mixed up. Is there a link that shows a diagram how the plug to the breaker box is wired? Thanks in advance.

It is 110v 30amp plug at all the campgrounds that I have been too. The regular plug is 15 amp I believe. I haven't ever seen a 220v plugin in a campground. But there could be for some of those big rigs.

Thanks thats what I thought. I have a adapter I use to test stuff that plugs into a regular outlet. I had the camper wired and couldn't get the lights on and thats why. I will just change how it wires into the circuit breaker box and that should take care of it. Thanks.

Willie the 30 amp plugs are 115vac. The 50 amps are 220. If you buy a pigtail to go from a 50 to a 30 amp it only has it hooked up for 110vac.

I got it rewired now and it is working. I used a smaller adapter than what you were talking about fisherpal. It takes the 30 amp down to the regular 120 wall plug. I use it to test out suff. But its getting down to the wire now all I have to do is run the gas line mount the TV,radio and Microwave, paint then flooring. I am guessing about 20-30 hours of work.
