I've got an 1962 aloha camper that has traveled from washington st to end up in my driveway via some twists n turns and owners in the way. It was meant to be. It's in great shape now but i'm in the middle of redoing some stuff in it anyway. I'm just updating it a lil bit and am looking for some parts. Unfortunately i'm on a budget as well so i'm trying to stay cheap. Its a canned ham with the bare neccessities and i'd like to outfit it for self sufficiancy. I am needing a

propane furnace
propane refridgerator
outside 12V light
drop down step
and 4 hardmount stabilizer jacks

Right now i'm filling in the gaps in the paneling so that I can wallpaper the walls to bring it up to date a lil bit. I will be replacing the cieling as there was a leak at one point that caused the paneling to seperate a lil and bubble down in one small spot. I will be covering the cabinets with oak and making new drawer and door fronts to match. 60's paneling was great in its day but its hard to look at now. rolleyes.gif

A group here in TN I started for vintage campers.

Another one I belong to

another one

This place has nice parts but call to order. Their shipping on the internet is a ripoff. They are suppose to have cheaper prices on shipping by calling. But it is first rate.

Here is a salvage yard

Don't forget ebay.com

Flea Markets are a good source for parts. I went Sat to look for a porta potty, sink and stove. I wound up getting plywood for my sides for around 12 bucks. I also got enough stainless steel screws to redo my scotty for 20 bucks.
If you are willing to drive to get it I will give you a older propane Refrigerator. The gas part was wworking along with the electric. But the amonia has leaked out so it would need a recharge. I am in Smithville TN. I just replaced it with a electric one.
As far as leaks go most are caused by the aluminum trim that goes on the edges. The putty used to seal it will usually start letting leaks get in. Most people put tar up there but that doesn't really help. You can get new putty rolls for usually 10 bucks to do a whole trailer. You can see my campers on the Tennesse site. Look for the links to it. I have also posted here also. If you have questions let me know.

if you all ever see any for sale, might post it on here, my mother is looking for one that is already redone and needs nothing.. a short one like a scoyty sportsman like she had.

Great that gives me lotsa lookin.... I might be very interested in your refridgerator willy. Is it spencive to get them recharged? I'm a huge fan of everything "classic". To some they look "old" to others they have more style than the new stuff. I've got my newer dependable cars for work but I perfer the older stuff.

Willandgils... There's an amish company up north that sells the serro scotty campers brand new still. Better yet have you looked at the tab campers? Can be pulled by normal sized vehicles.

If anyone is looking for a vintage trailer keep in mind that the water damage that you can see is probably only 10% of the actual damage. I have been working on my new Scotty project. I took the skin off and on the drivers side of the camper the entire wall was ruined. Each corner in it was rotted. The odd thing is that the floor was perfect except for a hole it looked like mice had chewed through and where the door was the end was worn off.willandgilscamper, if your mother finds a smaller camper preferably a scotty ,canned ham and not longer than 13-15 ft thats in bad shape let me know. I would like to line one up to repair for someone when I get the scotty done. I would like to completely rebuild the entire wood structure and then let the owner get the camper painted on the outside and inside. I enjoy the wood rebuilding of it. You can see them at the link below. And if anyone is curious neither will be for sale. The Aristocrat Landmark may be the only one of that model in existance. It may have been the only one ever made. I have checked through the web with people that ran the company. The company was sold out and out of business in two years . This one was made the year it went out of business. It may have evwen been a prototype. It was not know of before I found it. As far as the scotty there is no way I would get rid of it. I looked too long to find it. Plus I really like it. I may repair and trade others but these two I intend to keep. The Aristocrat I will take to Rock Island ,about 10 miles from my house. The scotty is for longer trips. Thats not a bad price at all. But right now redoing the scotty all I have left for another is about etncc/2cents.gif . Later on if I don't get burned out I may find one to redo and then let it go. I just really like rebuilding the wood. The part I do not Like is the painting. I think I need to open up a RV shop. Maybe I can call it Cousin Eddies campers. I could get one of those furry bomber hats like cousin Eddie had in Christmas vacation and greet all the people.
